I’ve been in aviation for my whole live. Without it I would not even exist. It began in 1988 when and young glider pilot flying for the german national team attended the military distance soaring contest in Bueckeburg, Germany (ETHB, today) and a young girl from a neighboring gliding club was given permission to attend, too. Well, not too long after that competition these two pilots married and would become my parents.
As I was born in August 1989 I got my first ride in an airplane with an age of three weeks (!). In my childhood I’ve seen some old photographs of that day and I believe it was something like a Piper Archer or so. Anyway, from this day on I was forced to spend most of my free time on the airfield with my parents and later with my little brother who, by now, is a pilot, too.
